Join Imagine Science Films for our first film market. To kickoff the weekend of the festival and ten years of IMAGINE we are bringing together science film distribution companies for a discussion about the industry.

Speakers will include Alexis Gambis CEO of Labocine, Michael Sigel Editor and Chief of Nautilus, Micah Green Consultant for Science/AAAS, Thobey Campion Group Publisher of VICE, Luke Groskin Video Producer at Science Friday Kellen Quinn Producer & Programmer at Aeon Magazine, and Jorge Franzini Senior Producer at CuriosityStream and Michael Hammerstrom Head of Engagement at CuriosityStream.

Tables and networking session will include Science/AAAS, Nautilus, Aeon, Science Friday, Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Tangled Bank Studios and HHMI BioInteractive, Labocine and VICE.

Our first Q&A session will focus on changing video media outlets, new techniques in filmmaking and how to bring marginalized content to the broader public in ways that print cannot. The second session will focus on how filmmakers can navigate the changing market of distribution, how to self-start making a path in the distribution world, how to fund your work, finding your niche, branding and social media. Please come prepared with questions and expect an opportunity to network and informally pitch your films to companies in the last hour of the program! (*bring business cards)
