Our second edition of Imagine Science Paris, running June 2 – 4 this year, will encompass 37 films in 5 programs, plus 3 live scientific performances, art, panel discussions, and the return of our Cafe Scientifique conversation on sci-art. As with each of our major festivals, we seized the chance to find absolutely the latest in scientific filmmaking, from France and from around the world — 27 of these films are new to this festival!

Highlights include:

-Opening night program Connections, which traces all of the ways we relate to one another — love and sex, body and identity, even as these physical forms may be superseded by technology.

-Our all-animated family matinee with films about our encounters with nature ranging from the informative to the fantastic — biologists chart otherworldly ecosystems, children reflect on the cycles of life, the sun is milked, and a frog muses on the wonders of the natural world.
