Opening Night
Dusk Chorus at the Rubin Museum
Friday, October 13, 9:30pm
Dusk Chorus - Based on Fragments of Extinction is an unprecedented cinematic event: an auditory journey into the heart of rainforests of Ecuador, one of the places with the highest biodiversity on the planet. Conceived of and written by eco-accoustic musician David Monacchi, the project isn't just a film but a full immersion in these crucial locations via meticulously recorded 3D sound fields. But as the film unfolds, it becomes not only document, but warning.

Co-presented with The Rubin Museum of Art and their World of Sound Exhibition, this is an experience unlike any other in the festival. Join us, along with Monacchi himself and co-director Alessandro d'Emilia.
