The Science New Wave pass gives you access to all 20 screenings at Cinema Village (visit Schedule.) You will also have access to online film programming on Labocine for a full year from the moment of your purchase.

With a simple SNW festival pass, you are telling us that you support our mission of bridging the sciences and cinema and want to be part of our budding art/science ecosystem.

For the in-person screenings, you can purchase single tickets at Cinema Village, through the SNW XVII Schedule. Even with the PASS, make sure to reserve a spot for our other programs: Opening Night at MoMI (Tickets here), Symbiosis Lab Meeting @ Caveat (Free RSVP here) Symbiosis Closing Night (Tickets here), and our three programs at DCTV's Firehouse Cinema (Tickets soon). There is limited capacity for these programs, so get your tickets today.

Yes. But make sure to arrive at least 20 minutes before showtime. Remaining tickets will be released 5 minutes before the screening and we cannot guarantee a seat if you are late.

What is not included? Well, just a handful of programs that you need to purchase separate tickets and/or RSVP including:

If "RSVP in person" is mentioned on the Schedule, these programs are FREE, but you still need to reserve a spot as there is limited capacity (and may be SOLD OUT).

With the festival pass, you have access to the 20 in-person screenings at Cinema Village and Labocine programming, including a special Science New Wave Close-ups program. You still need to be on time for in-person events as programs may sell out.

The festival pass costs $30 which is the price of an annual Science New Wave membership to Labocine. We think it is a fair ask for 64 films and 30 programs across New York City and online programming. The festival pass can only be purchased on the Labocine platform. We will have a computer booth set up at our venues if you want to purchase it there. It will take you less than 5 minutes on your mobile as well. We always recommend you do all this before you come to the event as Science New Wave pass may take a few minutes (up to an hour) to go through!

Yes, but... a festival pass is associated to a single Labocine account registered with an email. You cannot get more than one pass per Labocine account. If you need to get multiple passes, please sign up to Labocine with more than one email.

Why do it this way? Well, we want to know our audience and make sure you are a living organism who is actually coming to the festival! When you purchase a pass, you will get an electronic ticket with your name/email. We promise to not look too closely if the names don't 'exactly' match up. That said, do bring a form of ID and of course proof of your pass. As long as you are not invisible, a robot, or have multiple identities, we will most likely let you in.

When you show up to a screening, we will ask you to present your SNW DNA ID and real ID to match it all up. We promise to be lenient if the names don't genetically match up and you have a good explanation. With the Science New Wave Pass, make sure to come early (20 mins before) to the venue to get a seat. We cannot guarantee a seat if you are late.

RSVP is also required for FREE events in New York City including Symbiosis Lab Meeting @ Caveat (10/21). Make sure to reserve your spot for these in-person events on Eventbrite.
